Electrical Issues at the Field
The district is to address a loss of 30,000 watts of power from the transformer to the power box at the baseball field. Until the problem can be worked on, the team will shorten practices and only use the facility during daylight hours. Unfortunately, it will also affect the Middle School Camp sceduled to begin Friday, March 5. That day of the camp is cancelled, but the Saturday times are still intact.
The district has to totally shut down power at the transformer to work on the problem. That cannot be done until Spring Break because it also shuts down power to a portion of the school building. As a result, some games scheduled at Kickapoo druing the break will be moved to other sites. Updates will be made online and announced to players at practice.
Practices during Spring Break will have to be moved to another location that is yet to be determined.
